देहरादून, 22 दिसंबर, 2025: डॉ. रमन जीत सिंह आईसीएआर-भारतीय मृदा और जल संरक्षण संस्थान, देहरादून में वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक हैं। आपने भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान संस्थान, नई दिल्ली से पीएचडी (एग्रोनॉमी) की डिग्री 2008 में प्राप्त की। आपकी विशेषज्ञता हिमालयी क्षेत्रों में ढलान वाली कृषि भूमि के लिए संरक्षण पर केंद्रित है।
आपने Agro-geo-textiles पर भी शोध किया है, जिसका उद्देश्य वर्षा आधारित मक्का-गेहूं फसल चक्र में पैदावार बढ़ाना है। यह रिसर्च सफल हुई। Agro-geo-textiles के प्रयोग से जहां कृषि भूमि का कटाव कम किया जा सका, वहीं, मटर, गेहूँ व मक्का की फसलों की उत्पादकता क्रमशः 122% और 36% तक बढ़ी।
